The rain may have delayed the start of the festivities for the Festival of L.I.F.E., but it didn’t stop these wonderful people from creating awareness and a community full of support. Sarah Mann put it so well that “cancer doesn’t stop, so neither do we!”  Participants, supporters, and volunteers came together at Veteran’s Park in Macomb, IL to honor cancer survivors, raise awareness about reducing cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease.

They’re still raising funds, you can donate until November 1st!  Please go to www.relayforlife.org/festivaloflifeil to donate!!

Just to note – Sarah is on the committee to organize the event and shares her story as a four time cancer survivor on her website Smiling With Sarah and on Facebook at Smiling With Sarah.  The Festival of L.I.F.E. also is on Facebook, so head there for updates!

I was so thrilled to be asked to photograph the event, but was only able to attend for a couple of hours.  Here are photos from part of the day at least!

I’m so excited for Abby and Justin’s wedding! Their engagement session was pretty entertaining, so I know their wedding day will not disappoint!

During their session, we wandered down a creek, reminisced about college at WIU, took some photos with their pup, and Justin attempted to get a piggy back ride from Abby. I’m also still curious if we were near a beehive or if there was a drone off in the distance, but either way, we survived.  Here’s some of the loveliness from our evening, enjoy!
