We celebrated Katie’s 30th birthday this year with an awesome group of some of her closest friends. Katie hates surprises, therefore it was not a typical 30th surprise birthday party. When we started planning this party for my wonderful sister, Steven told me I had to tell her about our plans. He refused to let me keep it a secret. So, I told Katie that part of her present was knowing about the party and helping to decide some of the plans. There were very few surprises involved, just certain elements at the party she wasn’t aware of prior to it. One thing she wasn’t told about was the photo booth. It wasn’t so much of a booth, but more of a photo station. (Katie’s a teacher, she loves activity stations.) Our guests loved the props and we captured a lot of great moments!
Thanks to everyone who helped Katie celebrate from near and far! I know that she loves each and everyone of you. A special thanks to the Engstrom family (Bonnie is the blogger behind A Knotted Life) for being so awesome and allowing us to have the party at their home! Also, thank you to Kayla at Kayla Phillips Design for creating the beautiful birthday invitations for Katie!
Here are a few of the pictures we took that night.
